Design Parade

International design festival

Design Parade is an internationally acclaimed festival for creative artists, designers and journalists, held annually in early summer, on the Côte d’Azur. In Hyères (for design) and Toulon (for interior architecture), the two-centre event promotes the best young designers on today’s scene.

Held annually at the Villa Noailles, the iconic modernist building designed by architect Robert Mallet-Stevens in 1923, the Design Parade festival is a summer celebration featuring an international competition dedicated to the work of emerging young designers. Lectures, workshops and round-tables discussions are open to amateurs and professionals alike, complementing a series of exhibitions open throughout the summer, aimed at the widest possible public.

Founded in 2006, the festival expanded in 2016 to incorporate Design Parade Toulon, with a particular focus on interior architecture, explored in a rich programme of exhibitions, talks and workshops. As with Design Parade Hyères, the Toulon event hosts an international competition, this time for young, emerging interior architects.

The Fondation d’entreprise Hermès partners leading players on the French design scene, reflecting our core focus on this creative sector that brings together expertise and innovation. As such, we are delighted to have supported Design Parade since 2008, together with Design Parade Toulon from 2016. Through their respective competitions, these parallel events have established themselves as vital springboards for new design talents.
